People and Culture

The Mission of People and Culture

Agnes Scott College is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. People and Culture is dedicated to promoting the holistic well-being of our employees through various initiatives that address their physical, emotional, and professional needs.

We acknowledge that a diverse community is essential for fostering a vibrant and inclusive workplace. We strive to create a culture where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged to contribute their unique perspectives.

Here are some of the ways we promote the well-being of our employees:

  • Campus Communication Efforts: We prioritize open and transparent communication to inform employees about important news, updates, and resources. Our internal communication channels provide a platform for employees to share feedback, ask questions, and connect with colleagues.
  • Wellness Workshops: We offer a variety of wellness workshops and programs to support employees' physical and mental health. These sessions cover stress management, mindfulness, and physical health topics.
  • Seminars: Our seminars provide opportunities for personal development. We offer a range of topics, including leadership development, effective communication, and diversity and inclusion training.
  • Employee Support Efforts: We are committed to providing support and resources to our employees. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers confidential counseling and support services for employees and their families.
  • Shine a Light Initiative: This initiative recognizes and celebrates our employees' achievements and contributions. It fosters a positive and supportive work environment where employees feel valued and appreciated.
  • Connection with Professional Development Opportunities: We connect employees with professional development opportunities both within and outside the college. These opportunities help them expand their skills, advance their careers, and stay up-to-date in their fields.
